Meet Our Team
Founder and CEO
After nearly two decades working in various roles in the travel nurse staffing industry, the company Marty Rastelli recruited for before founding Pinnacle Travel Staffing, eliminated the Psychiatric and Correctional division. While some would be devastated over their employer’s decision but remain complacent with it, Marty capitalized on his own epiphany. With over 16 years of industry experience as a Travel Nurse Recruiter and Director of Recruitment, he realized that the need to fill jobs in this area wouldn’t vanish simply because his current employer would no longer service this forgotten niche. In fact, he immediately recognized that there was, and remains a tremendous call to fill positions for Psychiatric and Correctional nurses. He left and launched Pinnacle Travel Staffing in 2017, where he proudly sits at the helm, supporting an energetic staff with a mission to build relationships and support for every single one of their clients.
You’ll often hear Marty repeat that “Pinnacle wants to work with their nurses for 13 years, not just 13 weeks.” In order to do so, he prides his business model on nurturing each individual relationship first. “It’s most important – the good relationships that we have. And we preach it,” he says. With faith and family as his founding principles, he manages and promotes a positive work environment that translates into successful careers for Pinnacle clients.
He totes this faith and family, sometimes literally, into his office every day. Born last into a larger-than-life Italian family of seven, Marty learned from a tender age how to stand out and survive. Often times, his family would pack their van and go, cramming all seven into one hotel room. Being the youngest sibling, Marty jokes about always being the one to sleep on the floor. While his family didn’t live lavishly, they loved hard and made the most of every moment. “It made us close and able to deal not only with each other, but with hard circumstances.” He and his siblings, two of whom also work alongside him at Pinnacle, carry tremendous respect for their late parents, who instilled appreciation and decency down into their bones. “My Dad used to say, ‘If you don’t lie, you never have to remember what you said,” and that sentiment is not only what Marty teaches his staff but has cemented as a building block for his business legacy. “We are never going to do the wrong thing when people aren’t looking. We continuously do the right thing.”
Pinnacle’s steady growth each year and constant daily bustle since breaking into the nurse staffing scene, proves Marty and his team are setting themselves apart from the competition because they know what they know and they know it well. As the company leader, every client can be comfortable knowing that Marty and all of his recruiters understand the wants and needs of nurses and what they go through, providing ease and trust during every step of the process; and to provide additional support, Marty is available 24/7, willing to speak with any and all of his employees as needed.
When he isn’t at work or spending time with his family, you will find him coaching judo, wrestling, baseball and football. And don’t be surprised by his stature, Marty comes from a family of judo champions and is 3rd degree black belt! But at the end of the day, he is happiest at home with his wife, Stacy and their three sons: Landen, Nicolas and Cooper.

Chief Financial Officer
Started working for Pinnacle Travel Staffing in 2017. She is a graduate from Niagara University, where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Working closely with Pinnacle’s CEO, her duties include office management and executive administration. She oversees Human Resources and the administration of company policies, accounts payables, accounts receivables, purchasing and invoicing. Prior to working at Pinnacle, Tina worked in Human Resources and Recruiting for several years, at which point, she decided to take time off from the corporate world to focus her time on raising her children. While raising her children, Tina worked at her family’s Martial Arts and Fitness Center part-time, performing various administrative and accounting duties, as well as event planning. An interesting fact…Tina is a black belt in judo, along with her sister and two brothers!
Tina has been a lifelong resident of Grand Island, NY. In her spare time, she enjoys working out, outdoor activities and spending time with her family and friends.
Director of Recruitment
Jack Dobmeier is a Recruiter at Pinnacle Travel Staffing. He has been with the company for 3 years. Before Pinnacle Travel Staffing, Jack worked in retail management for 7 years. He is a native of Buffalo, New York, and attended the University of Notre Dame to study business. In his free time, Jack tries to spend as much time as possible being outdoors. He is an avid runner, hiker, and disc golfer. He is engaged to be married to his long-time girlfriend, Bree, in September 2020, and they enjoy traveling together.
Jack believes in being honest, reliable, and values being open for growth in all aspects of life.

Director of Compliance
Paul is a 1996 graduate of Grand Island High School. Shortly after graduation he enlisted in the United States Air Force in July of 1997. During that time he served in many different operations, including, Kosovo, Enduring Freedom, and Iraqi Freedom. In 2006 he became an Air Force Recruiter and served many different roles in recruiting service until his retirement in 2017. He currently resides in Niagara Falls, New York
Paul has been working at Pinnacle Travel Staffing for Three years.

In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family.
Before working at Pinnacle Travel Staffing, Tommy Makowski was a Professional Golfer in Florida where he taught the game of golf and competed on the local mini tours. He moved back to the Buffalo area to be with family and to help his father battle his fight with cancer. He currently resides in Grand Island, NY where he enjoys playing slow pitch softball, golf, and watching movies. Tommy also has a big heart for dogs, he is always willing to spend a few minutes to pet and play with all dogs.
Tommy has been working at Pinnacle Travel Staffing for 1 year.

Nichole is a 1996 graduate of Kenmore West High School. After graduation she decided to go to Niagara County Community College to begin to pursue a degree in Forensic Pathology. While going to school she also worked full-time as a Restaurant Manager at Anderson’s. In 2000 she gave birth to her first daughter and 2001 married her high school sweetheart and had 3 more children. She left the restaurant industry in 2007 to become a stay at home mom. Nichole re-entered the workforce in 2015 as a pre-school teacher at St. Francis of Assisi Early Childhood Center. She stayed there for 4 years until she was offered the opportunity of a lifetime to come work for her cousin’s company and become a Healthcare Recruiter for Pinnacle. She currently resides in Tonawanda, New York with her husband Shawn and 4 children Gianna, Justin, Jordyn and Ayla.
Nichole has been working at Pinnacle Travel Staffing for one year.

In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family. She loves sports especially when her kids are playing which are football, basketball, baseball, and soccer. Go Warriors!!!
Joe came to our family after 14 years at his previous employment looking for a life change. He is a father of 3 beautiful girls Miley, Kendall, and Brooklynn.
He enjoys traveling and playing golf when he is not working or being a father. He also coaches his kid’s softball teams. He is a self-motivator and strives for excellence.

He has been with the company since August 4th, 2020. Before Pinnacle Erik worked as an outside sales Representative and has worked in Sales for the past 7 years. Erik is from Buffalo New York, and for college attended Valley Forge Military College and Niagara County Community College.
Erik currently resides in Williamsville, NY and is very active from the outdoors to recreational sports especially Snowboarding in the winter, and Golf and Softball during the spring and summer. Hunting and Fishing are other activities in his spare time he is very passionate about. Erik is very big on spending time with is family and says he would not be where he is today without them and their support.

Don is a Grand Island native that has spent the majority of his career selling information technology. Don is active in the community as a past Coach, board member, and president of the Grand Island Little League, a board member of the Grand Island Catholic Club, member of the Grand Island Knights of Columbus, and member of the St. Stephen’s Parish folk band.
He and his wife, Karen, have three children, Eric, Makenna and Jackson.
Don has been working at Pinnacle Travel Staffing since November 2020.

Director of Marketing
Rick brings a wide range of abilities and expertise to his position at Pinnacle Travel Staffing. His experience includes customer service and sales, as well as event planning - where he has a proven track record of taking an event from initial client contact to a smooth and successful completion of the event.
Since that time, Rick's role has expanded to include marketing and advertising - where he maintains social media, employee recruitment and marketing/planning client events such as our annual golf tournament. Rick wears many hats in his day to day role, whether it be building maintenance, IT or web site updates. His ability to jump in and assist where needed has made him an indispensable member of the team. He's also shown himself to be a valuable team player, willing to assist with co-workers projects with enthusiasm.
His boundless energy and enthusiasm extends to his personal life as well. Rick and his wife juggle raising a young family and a dog, along with an active lifestyle that includes recreational sports and boating.
